December Mom of the Month: Laur Cardneaux

This month, we are thrilled to celebrate Laur Cardneaux, an incredible mama who brings creativity, heart, and grounded wisdom to our FIT4MOM Billings village. Not to mention her fantastic sense of humor!

Laur’s family includes her husband, Crowell, their sweet son, Callahan, and a lively crew of beloved pets. When they’re not adventuring together, you’ll often find them cooking, hiking, collecting rocks, gardening, or diving into their aquarium hobby.

Laur and her family are the proud owners of Treasure State Aquariums, where they share their passion for fish and aquatic life with the community. Before owning the shop, Laur was an art teacher right here in Billings — clearly, creativity runs deep in everything she does.

Laur joined FIT4MOM about three years ago when Callahan was just a baby. She says the biggest gift has been realizing that she truly has a village — she’s not an island. Her favorite classes are Stroller Barre and Strides, especially when baby gates make an appearance!

When asked about motherhood, Laur shared something both real and beautiful:

“The pure awe of it all — every time I think I know what’s going on, my son throws a crazy curve, and it always ends up being something incredible.”

Outside of motherhood, Laur’s passions include art, plants, and her critters. But her heart? It’s fully captured by Callahan, who she says has taught her more about being a good human than anyone else in her life.

Laur also offers some sage advice to fellow mamas:

“This is their first time being a kid, and your first time being a mom. You’ll both make mistakes, and you’ll both learn together.”

We are so grateful to have Laur in our village. Thank you for your honesty, creativity, and the calm strength you bring to our community, Laur — you inspire us all.
